Questions?
Better Together
At the Y, we believe that when we devote our full strength to our mission and cause, work in partnership with others, and build on our commitment to the children, families and underserved people of Duneland, we can address the most pressing issues of our community unlike any other organization.
Duneland Family YMCA
For Youth Development
We believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for the future. At the Duneland Family YMCA, children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and can explore their unique talents and interests, helping them realize their potential.
For Healthy Living
Being healthy is about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. At the Y, you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new activity, fostering connections with neighbors, or joining family-centered activities.
For Social Responsibility
The generosity of others is at the core of the Y’s existence as a nonprofit. It is only through the support of volunteers and donors that we are able to support and give back to our communities.

Jacob’s Ladder
Jacob’s Ladder Pediatric Rehabilitation is a registered, 501(c) non-profit organization rooted in Northwest Indiana.
We envision a community where no child with developmental delays or special needs goes without comprehensive and affordable rehabilitation services in order to grow into the best version of themselves. This will be accomplished by further educating our community on the benefits of early childhood intervention and encouraging those who share similar values to join us in achieving this vision.
Early intervention makes all the difference in a child’s ability to do well in school, develop a circle of friends, and, eventually, to be gainfully employed as an adult. We are here to provide the tools and resources to parents so that every child can achieve their potential.
NorthShore Health Centers
Services Available At This Location:
Family Practice, Common Illnesses, Strep Testing, Immunizations, Pink Eye Treatment, School/Sports Physicals, Acne Treatment, Flu Swabs, Allergies, Asthma, Eczema, Rashes
NorthShore Health Centers currently offers telehealth services at Chesterton Middle School and will continue as the site transitions into the Healthy Living Campus, allowing students to have a virtual visit with a licensed healthcare provider from the school nurse’s office. With the help of the school nurse, the provider can diagnose and treat acute illnesses including strep throat, colds, coughs, the flu, ear infections, rashes, and pink eye. Limited lab testing is also available.
If you do not have insurance or if it does not cover the visit, NorthShore will work with the family on a case-by-case basis. No student will be denied services because of the inability to pay.
